KIDSPACE.

Overview.

Based in Southeast Washington D.C., Kidspace was built to serve as a local child care facility. Commissioned by the House of Ruth, Kidspace was built on the premise of bettering the lives of young people. Check out local media coverage here.

TASK

Commissioned by the House of Ruth, the client had outgrown their previous buildings that were razed to build this much needed larger, more modern facility to better accommodate the children they care for.

RESULT

In SMG’s role as Owner’s Representative for House of Ruth, we worked with an exemplary team of professional including Stoiber & Associates and Doyle Construction. After several years of designing, planning and fundraising we certainly weren’t going to let a pandemic stop construction. Working together, we were able to navigate the unique issues presented by COVID-19 to bring this LEED Silver project to fruition
