CHALLENGE

The pool on the roof was experiencing flooding that was effecting three levels of tiers. During the hallway renovation process, asbestos was found and needed to be removed immediately from all floors.

SOLUTION

SMG created the plan to fix the leaking rooftop pool. Structural engineers were called in because of the concrete construction. The asbestos abatement had to run parallel to the hallway renovations that were needed on each floor.

RESULT

SMG was able to remove the asbestos safely within a quick timeline. Tight schedules and budgets were considered, and SMG worked to minimize the inconvenience on the residents. Two dozen apartments were affected, but the problems were resolved within five weeks.
