CHALLENGE
The client was experiencing water infiltration in the central stairway of the building. Unable to locate where the water was coming from, SMG was consulted to discover and fix the leakage.
SOLUTION
SMG consulted with roofing professionals and was able to discover the leak was caused due to small gutters and water coming over the fasciae of the roof. During this process, SMG found other infiltration issues due to incorrect construction. Additionally, balconies were deemed unsafe due to improper structural construction.
RESULT
SMG was able to stop the water infiltration throughout the building, along with preventing potential health hazards. The original project became more ambitious, helping the longevity of the building’s useful life.
