FRAGER’S HARDWARE.
Overview.
A Capitol Hill staple, Frager’s Hardware has been a part of the D.C. neighborhood for many years. After a fire destroyed the original building in 2013, ownership was transferred and its new owner sought to rebuild the frequented establishment.
TASK
We were tasked with managing the rebuilding of the hardware store and its adjacent garden center, Foliage by Frager’s. The new building needed to celebrate the company’s rich history and identity as a historical Capitol Hill institution.
RESULT
Frager’s Hardware was rebuilt to completion with the garden center adjacent. SMG was able to assist in the preservation of the Frager’s Hardware name and help the owners see the new build through to completion. The new hardware store was also constructed with a new apartment complex sitting atop.
